A Beachside Dinner Makeup Look Featuring Neutrogena - Makeup and Beauty Blog
Last night Cindy and I met upwards with some friends for dinner at a beachside restaurant hither in La Jolla called Brockton Villa (side note: Hi, Mary and Susan!).
The place was pretty coincidental, so I figured information technology wasn't the fourth dimension to bosom out the glittery smokey eyes and drag queen faux lashes. 🙂 Instead I went for embankment and natural-looking using products from Neutrogena, since they're smashing at that "still you but improve" thing, and a few other brands.
Some notes almost the products…
Neutrogena Shine Control Primer ($12.99): I mostly use this on my oily spots — my forehead, nose and mentum. It keeps the shine in check without giving my peel conniptions/breakouts. It doesn't feel like it's suffocating or bottleneck upward my pores, and it's too colorless, and then it works with every skin tone. You can also use it for a subtle highlighting effect past patting information technology on the tops of your cheekbones, down the span of your nose and along your chin.
Neutrogena Deep Clean Long-Concluding Shine Control Blotting Sheets ($6.49 for 50): The humidity is pretty high out here next to the water, but I don't want to keep piling on the powders and primers just to keep down the shine. I like using Neutrogena'southward blotting sheets to wipe up the oil, as opposed to but adding more products on my skin. They're also super affordable at just $6.49.
Neutrogena Healthy Skin Custom Glow Blush & Bronzer ($11.49): I've been wearing these duos for years! They give just plenty natural colour to my cheeks, and they're very easy to blend. I usually mix the blushes and bronzers to create my own shade. Here I'yard wearing Raisin Glow equally a blush and Natural Glow as a highlighter.
Neutrogena MoistureShine Color Stick in Fresh Papaya ($viii.49): I honey how natural this groovy coral looks with a tan. Information technology only barely bumps up the colour on my lips without going over the summit. Lightweight, polish and non-gummy, it smells yummy, too (like peach gummies).
Neutrogena MoistureShine Gloss in Healthy Peach ($seven.99): Sheer, shiny color and a moisturizing formula make this not-gummy, shimmery peach gloss ane of my favorites for layering atop coral lip colors.
Dinner was pretty proficient. We had a great view of the La Jolla Embrace from our table.
For noms, I had a cup of the seafood chowder and the fish tacos…
I wasn't all that hungry, though, because Cindy and I had been snacking earlier in the room… I did go kind of nuts over these shark gummies. 🙂
And that was that! Today was our last full mean solar day here, and non much surfing. It's been a fiddling cool and overcast.
Oh, did I tell you lot my new life philosophy? It hit me yesterday as I clung to my surfboard for dear life. "When the going gets tough…concur on to your board for dear life! Stand up up if you can!" LOL!
Have a cracking night. Run into you soon.
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen
